Gone Too Far the Movie Coming Soon

GONE TOO FAR

When Peckham teenager Yemi meets his long-lost Nigerian brother Iku for the first time, his estranged sibling’s African heritage and unimpressive fashion sense soon start to endanger Yemi’s street cred, particularly when trying to impress local troublemaking temptress Armani.

Adolescent angst and cultural tensions erupt in this razor-sharp comedy from a team of vibrant new British talents, adapted from Bola Agbaje’s Olivier Award-winning play which premièred at the Royal Court and directed by Destiny Ekaragha director of award winning short Tight Jeans.

Starring: Malachi Kirby, O.C. Ukeje, Shanika Warren-Markland, Adelayo Adedayo, Golda John, Tosin Cole, Miles McDonald, Eddie Kadi, KG Tha Comedian & Bhasker Patel.

IN CINEMAS 10th OCTOBER 2014

It’s Another Kush Promotions!
Hey Happy Weekend All,
Hope you got an exciting or relaxed weekend planned ahead.

Kush needs all of you to get behind this new film (mentioned in our last newsletter) and help us spread the word.

THIS IS A CALL-TO-ACTION!

You are all film-lovers and great supporters of UK Talent, well two rising-stars of the theatre and film world Bola Agbaje (writer) and Destiny Ekaragha (director) have come together to bring you the film ‘GONE TOO FAR’.

Gone Too Far is a new satirical comedy looking closely at Black British Society and how we view one another in day-to-day life.

You know Africans wanting to be Jamaicans, Jamaicans denying their African heritage, us British thinking we may be better than those arriving fresh off the plane….. blah, blah, blah!

This is a FAMILY FILM that elders can come out with family youngers to watch! So please SPREAD DA WORD, share this email, tell others, tell your children – just simply spread the word to as many people as possible.

We will also be telling you in coming weeks the inspiring story of how these two young talented ladies realised their dream of becoming first-time feature filmmakers and bringing this once successful stage-play on to the big screen with the help of the British Film Institute and Verve Pictures who also was the distributor that supported the release of the successful ‘The Story of Lovers Rock’ documentary that we worked on a few years ago.

COMPETITION TIME:
I would also like to give-away 3 pairs of tickets to the SPECIAL GALA SCREENING on Tuesday 30th September in Hackney (7.00pm) to three LUCKY WINNERS.

Answer this question to win:
Q: What is the name of the new “So-called” urban language used by young people acknowledged by the new urban dictionary and English language experts? (I first saw some professor talking about it on the news the other day when they were discussing the masked person involved in the terrible ISIS beheading’s)
