Guild of Professional fine Artists of Nigeria Art Salon and reception

Theodora Ibekwe Oyebade in Hassan Aliyu's studio

A thrilling and most invigorating experience at an art salon and reception for members of the Guild of Professional Fine Artists of Nigeria (GFAN) hosted by the Nigeria Art Society UK (NASUK) at the home and studio of Hassan Aliyu in Rainham, Essex. Hassan’s walls were adorned by the most technically and thematically diverse visual expressions. It was mesmerising listening to the artists explain their work and guests were privileged to meet the who’s who of Nigerian art in the UK.

RACE!(1)GFAN were in London participating in the third incarnation of Aabru Art’s Transcending Boundaries exhibition which included works by Kolade Oshinowo, Abiodun Olaku, Bunmi Babatunde, Fidelis Odogwu, Frank Uduh and several others of note and high repute.
