Guild of Professional fine Artists of Nigeria Art Salon and reception
A thrilling and most invigorating experience at an art salon and reception for members of the Guild of Professional Fine Artists of Nigeria (GFAN) hosted by the Nigeria Art Society UK (NASUK) at the home and studio of Hassan Aliyu in Rainham, Essex. Hassan’s walls were adorned by the most technically and thematically diverse visual expressions. It was mesmerising listening to the artists explain their work and guests were privileged to meet the who’s who of Nigerian art in the UK.
GFAN were in London participating in the third incarnation of Aabru Art’s Transcending Boundaries exhibition which included works by Kolade Oshinowo, Abiodun Olaku, Bunmi Babatunde, Fidelis Odogwu, Frank Uduh and several others of note and high repute. The salon and reception featured artwork by Chike Azuonye, Lara Ige-Jacks, Gbenga Orimoloye, Titus Agbara, Imoesi Imhonigie Idinokhai, Ray Soko, Kunle Adegborioye, Ade Ogundimu, Obi Okigbo, Chinwe Chukwuogo Roy, MBE (of blessed memory), Michael Echekoba and the host Hassan Aliyu. The display will be available to view by appointment until Sunday 21st June. Please contact Hassan Aliyu directly on FB to arrange.
