As Crystal’s social worker, I am committed to providing some solid support to this vulnerable young lady. I think she will need some guidance and someone step in as her mother. She is in her own world with no support at all.
My job will be to improve her life and that of her newborn baby. Hopefully I can reintroduce Crystal back into society by getting her somewhere decent to live and bring about some positive changes. A hostel is nowhere for a her to be bring up a baby. I want the baby to have a good start and I intend to see this through.
I don’t just see this as another case. It’s not just about safeguarding and promoting the welfare of child, but being caring and showing compassion.
Crystal has had it hard and deserves a break.
